Edwardian Fireplaces are influenced by a relatively short period in history from the end of the Victorian era in 1901 to1910 and generally extended to include the period up to 1914. Edward vii was a part of the fashionable elite in a time when the rich were not ashamed to live conspicuously. Edwardian Fireplaces were influenced by the art and fashions of Continental Europe and encompassed Baroque and Empire styles along with the more famous Art Nouveau.
