Instagram’s Favourite Home Renovation in Huddersfield

A young couple renovating their home in Huddersfield and sharing every step of the journey with a growing audience online. Two very different spaces, two very different fires, and a finish that stopped followers in their tracks.

Fireplace Studio Brighouse delivered a gas stove for a cosy, characterful living room and a striking balanced flue fireplace for a show-stopping kitchen extension, both of which went on to capture the hearts of thousands across Instagram and TikTok.

The Client

A young couple undertaking a full home renovation and documenting the process on social media. With a keen eye for interiors and an engaged online following watching along, the standard of finish mattered as much as the functionality.

The Brief

Two rooms, two distinct briefs. The living room needed to feel warm, inviting and relaxed, a space where traditional cosiness and modern style could sit comfortably side by side.

The kitchen, part of a large new extension, needed a fireplace that could pull its weight as a main feature wall, adding both heat and a serious visual statement to the space.

What Fireplaces We Installed

Ravel Gas for The Living Room

The clients loved the look and feel of a traditional wood burner but wanted the convenience of gas. The Ravel gas stove was the perfect answer, a beautifully realistic flame effect that delivers all the warmth and atmosphere of a log burner without the fuel, the ash, or the upkeep.

Gazco Reflex for The Kitchen Extension

For the kitchen, we installed a Gazco Reflex 75T balanced flue gas fire with a black glass interior lining and anti-reflective glass , a sleek, high-impact installation that commands the room and provides the heat output a large open-plan space demands. The client had already sourced the stonework for both projects, though this is something we supply and install ourselves for clients who prefer a fully managed approach.

Project Timeline

Given the scale of the renovation, the installations were scheduled flexibly around the clients’ wider building programme, with both fires fitted as each space became ready. A collaborative approach that kept the project moving without disrupting their renovation timeline.

Why This Was the Right Solution

Both fires were chosen to meet a clear brief and both delivered exactly that. The Ravel brings the soul of a wood burner to a room without any of the practical demands, making it ideal for a couple who wanted atmosphere on their terms. The Reflex 75T brought the kitchen to life, giving a large and potentially challenging space a natural focal point and a generous heat source in one.

The Result

The finished rooms are, quite simply, stunning and the couple’s followers agreed. Shared across Instagram and TikTok as part of their renovation series, both installations received an overwhelming response, earning Fireplace Studio Brighouse a well-deserved share of the spotlight.

A reminder that the right fireplace doesn’t just transform a room, it becomes the room.
